When you use the AssetSnip Chrome extension, we collect usage data such as the URLs you visit while the extension is active and the assets you extract. We also collect billing and transaction records when you subscribe to a paid plan, basic device and browser information for compatibility and security purposes, and data from cookies used to maintain your session and improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve AssetSnip. This includes managing your asset library and account, processing payments and subscriptions, delivering service notifications such as sign-in links and billing updates, analyzing usage patterns to improve product features, and ensuring the security of your account and our infrastructure.
3. Third-Party Services
AssetSnip relies on trusted third-party providers for authentication (including Google OAuth), payment processing, cloud infrastructure, media storage, and AI inference. Your data is shared with these providers only to the extent necessary to deliver the service, and all providers operate under strict contractual and security safeguards. We do not disclose the identity of specific vendors publicly.
4. AI Features
Our AI features allow you to generate SVG icons from text prompts or vectorize raster images into SVG format. When you use these features, the prompts and images you provide are transmitted to external cloud inference APIs solely to produce the requested output. AI-generated results are saved to your library when you choose to keep them. AI usage is metered based on your subscription plan.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate AssetSnip, as described in Section 3. We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of AssetSnip, our users, or the public.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We implement access controls, monitoring, and regular security reviews to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Library assets on free plans may be removed in accordance with our storage limits and retention policies. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems, though some information may persist in backups for a limited period.
8. Cookies and Tracking
AssetSnip uses essential cookies to maintain your authentication session and remember your preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the service is used and to improve performance. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell cookie data to advertisers.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You can update your account information at any time from your dashboard settings. You may request a copy of your personal data, request deletion of your account and associated data, control when the browser extension is active on your device, and opt out of non-essential email communications.
